Last month I got to take my first trip since October 2019. I was not going to a new exotic destination but revisiting one of my favorite cities, London. I’ve lived in London for a year for my master’s in 2010, and it was great to explore again. I chose not to plan anything and see what the city had to offer each day. My husband and I stayed in Camden, which is a part of the city that I don’t know that well. It was great to be next to the Regent’s Canal and walk along it to get to different parts of the city. The trip was a perfect time to enjoy the change of foliage in the parks, experience a different climate, visit new shops, and enjoy delicious meals with loved ones and old friends.
Parks for long leisurely walks–
Restaurants to try–
Lyle’s – Modern British food with a set menu of local produce.
Royal Garden Club – Amazing place for a dim sum brunch or lunch.
Suzi Tros – A modern Greek bistro.
Plaquemine Lock – Colorful gastropub with a New Orleans influence.
Decimo – A Spanish Michelin star chef’s take on his love of Mexico. The restaurant’s décor and views from the 10th floor of the Standard Hotel are spectacular.
