Louise Dahl-Wolfe introduced a kind of naturalism to fashion photography that was not popular at her time. Joining Harper’s Bazaar in 1936 she characterized the magazine for two decades by contributing 86 covers. Working as a freelance photographer under Diana Vreeland, Dahl-Wolfe enjoyed a great amount of artistic freedom. Taken over fifty years ago, Louise’s witty images have a timelessness that feels fresh and modern today.
